Now what I did was the following:



1. Delete any saved game data on your ps3

2. Clean your GT6 disc with a soft cloth (even the smallest of fingerprints can halt proceedings)

3. Insert your disc and do the first update (1.01) then as the second one (2 of 9 etc) starts cancel the update.

4. Go into your game as you would normally

5. Go into your Options, game settings (think it's the play button top right) and under one of the options deselect update automatically

6. Exit the game and start it up again and this time do one update at a time (as step 3).

7. After each update go into the game normally and back into your settings (top right play button) and clear your cache



My game failed on 1.09 all the time but doing the above worked for some reason.
